Rajan Datar

  • Studied at Oxford University and the London School of Economics.
  • He reported for BBC radio and was a writer for The Guardian before joining the BBC Production Trainee scheme.
  • He worked on flagship TV shows: Rough Guide to the World, Newsnight, Watchdog and Money Programme.
  • Plays bass and is a founder member of Maroon Town.
  • Enjoys football, yoga, cinema, and travelling.

My favourite interviewees are the listeners of the World Service and who come on Over to You. They are so delighted to be on the station and have such interesting points to make. I think it's important to always have a two way dialogue with your listeners.
