BBC World Service (European schedule) is available 24 hours a day, free-to-air from digital Eutelsat Hot Bird 8 at 13° East, transponder 50, vertical polarisation, 11727 MHz.

The Worldspace satellite that carried BBC World Service's English language service in Iran ceased operating on 31 January 2010.

Short-wave radio

Frequencies cover Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In central and eastern Afghanistan, try frequencies for South Asia as well.
