Renting hotel rooms by the hour in Japan

Trends that start in Japan do have a habit of spreading to the rest of the world.

Think of the Sony Walkman, digital watches and Manga cartoons.

So, how about what are euphemistically known as love hotels.

These ae hotel rooms, often with amazing themes, that you can rent for very short periods. There is, for example, a Christmas hotel in Osaka.

And if you only want the hotel room for an hour or two - why pay for a whole night?

World Business News's Alex Ritson talked to Steve Mansfield, chief executive of the New Perspective hotel group.
