Indian writer Kiran Desai's Booker prize-winning and international bestselling The Inheritance of Loss, is a profoundly moving cross-continental saga that moves from the Himalayas to New York City.

Harriett Gilbert interviewed the author at the South Bank Arts Centre in London in front of a live audience.

The Inheritance of Loss won the Man-Booker prize.
