In Swaziland, the government is planning deep cuts in public spending that will make life even harder for millions who already live lives blighted by poverty and disease.

Up to 7000 civil servants may lose their jobs but the true impact of the measures is yet to be felt.

Some believe the cuts could light the fuse for democratic reform.

The BBC's Louise Redvers has just returned from Swaziland.
