The sudden flow of North African migrants to Italy continues.

Authorities in Italy have intercepted a boat carrying about 30 people, reportedly from Egypt, off the coast of Sicily.

More than 5,000 Tunisian immigrants have reached the Italian island of Lampedusa - also by boat - in the past week.
