Sophie Nzayisenga is the only professional female inanga player in Rwanda to play in public and become profesional.

The Inanga, a traditional harp made from wood is an instrument that has been played exclusively by men, at least in public.

She talks about the tradition of the Inanga and performs a piece of music specially commissioned for the Ballad of Africa.

She performs her song Rwanda Nziza for BBC World Service.
