Since the re-introduction of multi party democracy in Ghana in 1992, the political landscape has been dominated by two major parties: the governing New Patriotic Party or NPP, and the main opposition National Democratic Congress or NDC.

But the upcoming election has seen the gradual reversal of fortunes for the founding Convention People's Party or CPP of the country's first president, Kwame Nkrumah.

In the last election it barely managed one percent of the presidential vote and three parliamentary seats.

This time round it has a former government minister, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom as its political flagbearer, he spoke to Uduak Amimo.
