The twinning schools have decided to work together on a dance for South Africa's national arts festival taking place next summer in Grahamstown.

When Mgezwa teachers visited Hemel Hempstead School earlier in the year, they were impressed by the 'house' system which they had seen in action during a school music competition.

Mgezwa teachers launched their house system during the UK teachers' visit.  As well as designing house logos, they set up a house dance competition.  This photo shows the yellow team - Ntanzi house - rehearsing their performance.

Ms Sepala selected a troop of the school's most talented dancers to work with each morning.  She introduced them to style of dance they had never attempted before: hip hop.

This group, named the Master Movers, are the core team joining Hemel Hempstead's finest at the festival next year.

How did they do this?

The Hemel Hempstead School in Hertforshire UK and Mgezwa Junior Secondary School in Lusikisiki South Africa were put in touch with one another through local churches.

Their partnership received DFID Global Schools Partnership funding.
