What would you tell him is special about your school?
The serene environment and the students. My school has got the perfect atmosphere for schooling, irrespective of the hustling and bustling of the outside community (Lagos).
Which lesson would you invite Barack Obama to sit in on? Why?
Definitely that would be my English class because the instructor, she is so wonderful. Her English construction is superb. You can’t find virtually any fault in her grammar.

Temiloluwa, 11
Which lesson would you invite Barack Obama to sit in on? Why?
My literature class because we are presently reading a book entitled ‘Its my life’. It centres around a girl who wanted to have a career in the arts which was against her parents wishes, but being determined like Obama she chose a career in the arts and later on succeeded.
What do you think of Barack Obama?
I see him as a black success and race fighter - one that has finally given a name and a face to the black race and a success in all ramifications.

Dolapo, 11
What would you want him to change in your school or community? Why?
The library because they say that knowledge is power. If he could enrich the library with good books, I would be very happy because that way students tend to read more because they have more books at their disposal and usage.
What do you think of Barack Obama?
I see him as a perfect man - a man that has defied race and creed to become an outstanding individual. He is the epitome of leadership and I would love to associate myself with him all the way.

Adeshina, 13
Which lesson would you invite Barack Obama to sit in on? Why?
Social studies, because the syllabus for the course provides us with accurate and up to date information about our environment and also the world at large. Also social studies enlightens us on the cultural pattern of our society and the larger society, which I believe the President Elect would find educative and informative.
Where would you take him in your school or community? Why?
A very special place which happens to be the orphanage home, because the folks down there would need more than money and food. I believe they need words of encouragement from a man that was raised by his grandparents and not his immediate father and later became a success.

Hannah, 12
What would you tell him is special about your school?
The students - bright and studious students who have capacity to compete with students both from within the country and outside the country. The teachers wouldn’t be left out for their tireless effort at imparting knowledge.
Which lesson would you invite Barack Obama to sit in on? Why?

Christian religious knowledge, so that he can teach the pupils of my school about morals and dedication to their studies

Adeboyejo, 11
Who would you take him to meet in your school or community? Why?
Since the host community has ancient cultures and concepts, I would want to take him to the traditional ruler of the host community who would be more than happy to tell him a lot about the community, its existence and its developmental nature.
What would you give him to remember you by?
A novel entitled ‘Not a free gift’. This is because it teaches a lot and also because I had mine awarded to me by the school head as a gift during the school’s end of year party. Its very educational in nature because it gives an insight on how bad company can hinder one’s success in life if you want to become the next Barack Obama.
Toluwanimi, 10

Who would you take him to meet in your school or community? Why?
I would want to take him to meet with my father because they both share the same line of profession. Dad's a lawyer and also Obama was a lawyer before being elected. I believe that they would have a lot to discuss that would range from politics to family issues.

The address of my school so that he has the school in mind whenever he comes on an official or diplomatic visit to Nigeria.
