Jessheim High School in Norway are taking part in the Obamarama.
They are twinned with Prince Henry’s Grammar School, the hub school for the Obamarama.
Read "Obamaramas" from some Jessheim students:

Alexander, 18
What would you tell Barack Obama is special about your school?
The school has a department at Norway’s top security prison, which is located about 10km from the school. The prisoners can graduate from high school while in prison, and are given a chance to start a new life.
Where would you take him in your school or community? Why?
I would take him to an old people’s home, simply to show him that we have a well functioning welfare system, and use this to explain how relatively high taxes can have a positive effect on society.

Pernille, 17
What would you tell Barack Obama is special about your school?
It’s a combined vocational and academic school. The school is put forward as a good example, a kind of pilot school because we try to be innovative and get good results.
Who would you take him to meet in your school or community? Why?
I would introduce Obama to an old man called Kåre Syltevik, who is famous in Jessheim because he was a secret agent in WWII, when he worked for the resistance movement.

Zunaira, 18
Which lesson would you invite Barack Obama to sit in on? Why?
I would like to invite Barack Obama to meet my English class. We have all been following the elections in the last two months. The United States needs change and so does the rest of the world.
What would you want him to change in your school or community? Why?
I think that he should talk to the Prime Minister of Norway, and discuss the economy of Norway. The government should use more money for schools. Obama may be able to get the politicians here to understand this. Even though he cannot decide things for Norway, he can influence our government.
How did they do that?
Jessheim High School, Norway, have a partnership with Prince Henry’s Grammar School, West Yorkshire.
The sixth form college at Jessheim runs a trip to the York area every year which involves a visit to a local school. One year, the school they were due to visit could not host them and so they looked around for an alternative. Prince Henry’s said yes and since then, Jessheim have visited them each year.
The two schools also do collaborative work in English and Geography.
Two teaching staff from Prince Henry’s will visit Jessheim at Easter 2009 with the aim of setting up a student visit.
