These organisations offer online help. Some run safe chat rooms, others facilitate online communities and conferences, others do specific activites around curriculum areas such as maths. Some organisations are free to join, others charge for their services.

GLC runs themed conferences for pupils online and as well as two online Newspapers for children and young people: 24:7 News.
Intuitive media
Online Protected Social Learning Communities for children and teachers. Over 120,000 members, from many cultures and backgrounds in UK and overseas, are creating, collaborating and communicating online. All professionally mediated. With a range of tools, facilities and engaging activities for children and extensive teacher resources, these communities provide an online space to help develop Inter-cultural understanding.
Projects include:
One World Zone - Funded by DIFID, developing cultural understanding and global awareness through live participation in forums, online magazines and HotSeats.
Global Linking - funded by Global Gateway. UK schools are linking with schools overseas using Shared Forums and LinkUP's. Overseas partner schools are sponsored by Intuitive Media, UK schools are funded by GG.

iNet
iNet is the international arm of the the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. It holds international conferences and online conferences for both students and teachers.
Rafi.ki
A charity-run online community, that helps schools work with each other across the world (currently about 30 countries are involved). It provides safe chat-rooms, forums and video conferencing tools along with a series of curriculum-mapped projects. Read more about rafi.ki here.
Rafi.ki provides personal email, forum and phone support for its member teachers as well as a one-to-one introductory consultation to help schools decide what they can get from their link. All support is provided by former teachers with significant experience in linking.
There are also lesson plans, expansion activities, videos, pictures and often celebrity interviews (conducted by the pupils) live on the site.
SchoolNet Global (ages 6 - 16) is a free resource of citizenship projects and online magazines where children from around the world are publishing articles about their lives.
Teachers in the UK who join can invite teachers and children in their partner schools to join these communities.To start a collaborative project with another school outside the UK in SchoolNet Global (ages 8-12) ask the facilitators and they will help you.
