World Class brings children and schools together across the world.
This morning on Breakfast children at schools in Northumberland and Nairobi were sharing the news via BBC World News for Children.
We provide children with a bulletin of news from around the world, told simply and accurately with a broad agenda of stories of interest to young people wherever they live.
We are keen to include children's voices. Earlier this month, for example, young people reported from the Youth Slavery Debate at the Houses of Parliament.
To understand the world around them, young people need to have access to impartial, accurate information.
How did they do that?
The schools were listening to the BBC World News for Children. The Northumberland school had difficulty with their firewall and so we sent them the bulletin via email. Let us know if you are interested in a similar email at worldclass@bbc.co.uk.
The schools in Nairobi and Northumberland are twinning through the British Council's Connecting Classrooms project.
If you are interested in twinning your school, World Class will put you in touch with organisations which facilitate school twinning.
