
Why does iNet help schools to twin?
iNet is the international arm of the the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. It was set up to help schools affiliated to SSAT benefit from working with schools in the global community. It provides opportunities for the learning communities in many countries to share experiences, opportunities and challenges.
What kind of schools do you twin with?
Across all ages but mostly in the secondary sector.
What region of the UK do you twin?
Any school affiliated to the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (which includes most English secondary schools).
What part of the world do you twin with?
iNet can help find a partner school in Australia, China, Chile, Holland, Mauritius, New Zealand, Sweden, USA and the UK, and the list of countries is growing every year.
In addition, the African Partnership Programme exists to help schools and companies in the UK link to schools in Africa.
What support do you offer to SSAT twinned schools in the UK?
iNet holds a number of events every year to share ideas for making the most out of school partnerships. It also holds international conferences and online conferences for both students and teachers.
What support do you offer to twinned schools overseas?
By joining iNet, international affiliates are able to share ideas, experience, practice and develop partnerships with other schools in other countries.
Do you charge for your services?
The twinning service is a benefit of affiliation for schools affiliated to SSAT or iNet.
iNet exists to create networks of schools that are committed to achieving significant, systematic and sustained change that ensures outstanding outcomes for all students in all settings.
