Get Inspired: Para-sports


In this film BBC Get Inspired meet Scottish Wheelchair racing Champion Meggan Dawson-Farrell, who will be competing in the T54 1,500m class at the Commonwealth Games this year in Glasgow.

Meggan currently holds all the Scottish records from 400 meters all the way up to the marathon title.

Meggan was not allowed to take part in Physical Education classes when she attended school, however, her parents where determined that she would take part in sport and took her to a sporting holiday camp.

The film also features The Watermill Foundation which is a charity that was set up to tackle the barriers people with learning difficulties have in life.

In May 2013, The Watermill opened their Highland Cycle Ability Centre which aims to give everyone a safe and enjoyable place to come and ride a bicycle. The centre caters for all abilities.
