Debates are simple to take part in and allow pupils from around the world to share and debate their opinions.

Resources to help schools prepare for debates are posted on the Commonwealth Class homepage in the week preceding the debate.

Finale Event: Thursday 24 July 2014, 15:00 - 16:00 BST

On Thursday 24 July we will be holding a finale debate in Glasgow, Scotland. We'll be bringing together young people to talk about some of the issues that the youth of the Commonwealth face for a special recording of BBC World Service's World Have Your Say.

The debate will be hosted by Chloe Tilley (BBC World Service) and John Beattie (BBC Radio Scotland) and broadcast live on BBC World Service radio. It will also be live-streamed on Commonwealth Class.

We are looking for children aged 10 - 17 years old from Commonwealth countries to take part in this special event. If you are planning on coming to Glasgow for the Games and would like to attend please email commonwealthclass@bbc.co.uk

Please note we are unable to pay travel expenses for those wishing to attend.
