SWS tells the story of the black power salute from the Mexico Olympics
For Black History Month UK, Schools World Service travels to California to meet up with Tommie Smith.
It's 43 years since Tommie gave the black power salute on 17 October at the Mexico Olympics in 1968.
At the time it caused controversy. Today, Tommie is a role model helping young people in Oakland California to make the most of their lives through sport.
Schools World Service is a BBC British Council co-production
