How challenging is it to learn something new? Have you learnt something new recently?

Pupils at Stretford High school in Manchester, England are getting the chance to try something new by playing hockey.

They have been twinned with Habib Public School in Pakistan in the build-up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Habib have a proud tradition of producing hockey players for the national team and pupils at Stretford are being encouraged to take up the sport.

Students like Mehlum and Suleyman, who have not been involved with many extra-curricular activities in the past, can now acquire new skills in hockey.

They are enjoying playing it and find it easier than any sport they have played before.

The students are not only learning and training to play the sport, they are also learning Urdu - the national language of Pakistan.
