St Patrick's Jubilee Time Capsule

St Patrick's school in Iten, Kenya, has selected 19 March 1961, the date the school was founded, for the Jubilee Time Capsule.

The Jubilee Time Capsule is being created by the Royal Commonwealth Society to mark Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

This struck a chord with St Patrick's school which celebrated its golden jubilee this year. The school is famous for the world class athletes who have attended in the 50 years since it was founded.

Schools throughout the Commonwealth are invited to select a date from the Queen's reign and explain why it is important. The project will be presented to the Queen to mark her Jubilee.

St Patrick's is twinned with Highcliffe School in the UK via the BBC and British Council's Olympic Dreams Network.
