The Schools World Service (SWS) reports on current affairs, providing short films and information for primary and secondary schools.

By using topical, relevant and compelling stories, our mission is to reflect the experiences of young people while offering a fresh perspective on major events.

Material is published each month for teachers to help engage their students in international news, boosting their understanding of the wider world.

Two versions of each film are made - one for secondary schools and the other for primary.

SWS is a BBC and British Council co-production creating topical resources for schools everywhere to share in the run-up to the Olympics.
