Wiltshire Speed Camera Locations
Speed camera Money makers or life savers the image of the speed camera is due a make over...

But whatever you think you'll want to know where they are in Wiltshire this week.

In Wiltshire, according to the Wiltshire & Swindon Road Safety Partnership, over 3,000 people are killed or injured on the roads each year.

And one third of these collisions are layed at the door of excessive or inappropriate speed.

But since 2002, with the introduction of Safety Cameras in the county, these numbers have fallen.

In fact the number of people killed or seriously injured on the county's roads has fallen by 5% and for children it has been reduced by as much as 33%.

But with government targets being set as high as 50% Safety Cameras have become invaluable.

Across Wiltshire and Swindon over 100 sites with a history of speed and collisions have already been earmarked for a safety camera.

Of which 80 will be set up with a mobile camera unit.

But neither fixed or mobile camera units will be hidden. In fact all will be clearly signed to meet Government guidelines.

So the message is "We don't want to catch you, we just want you to slow down."

as are located click on the link above.
