The
award is for the junior street warden category.
In
a very competitive category the Swindon nomination stood out for
the hard work and commitment of all those involved.
Lead
member for Housing Andy
Albinson said: "I am always amazed by the endeavours of the
Wardens and this award recognises the great work being done with
young people in the area.
"I
hope that this is just the beginning of their continued and growing
success.

I think this junior warden idea is brilliant at the moment i am researching to setting up something similiar here in newcastle. It would be great if you could get in touch and set up some sort of contact with us, maybe help us kick start it up here. Please e-mail benwell.wardens@newcastle.gov.uk

I would like to congratulate the Swindon wardens for the hard work involved in setting up a junior warden scheme. We are interested in setting up a similar scheme here in Hastings and would very much like to meet the Swindon junior wardens and the team responsible for setting up and running the scheme. We will be in touch. Regards, Jason and Julie.
