Super Furry Animals famed for hits such as 'Juxtapose' and 'Golden Retriever' are to make a flying visit to Wiltshire as part of their current UK tour. They play Salisbury City Hall on Monday 5th April.

The band are considered to be one of the most creative and experimental of the current crop of Welsh acts.

They formed in Cardiff in the early 1990's, after playing in various other Welsh bands and techno outfits.

In 1995 they were signed to Ankst, the famous Welsh indie record label.

Super Furry Animals (the name came from T-Shirts being printed by Gruff's sister) released their first record, the ambitiously-titled 'Llanfairpwllgwyngllgogerychwyrndrobwllynyngofod' (In Space - 1995) to massive critical acclaim.

Their debut album 'Fuzzy Logic' released in 1996 consolidated their success. The band have continued to be a fixture in the charts since then and their sixth album 'Phantom Power' reached the No.4 spot in the UK album charts in 2003.

Super Furry Animals play Salisbury City Hall on Monday 5th April. Tickets are priced at £15.00 and can be obtained in advance from the City Hall box office on 01722 327676. There will be a booking fee of £1.00.
