The
Parson's Nose in Melksham's quest to do their bit for local live
music continues when their next band night comes round on Thursday
25th March.
Bar
supervisor Allen Bowland said: "The objective is to give these
new young bands the chance to play to a music loving crowd, and
obviously get people supporting fresh new original music.
"The
first night in February was very busy with people coming to see
Phema and Nishe. The next gig in March looks to be just as good!"
Headlining
the next event are south west hardcore punk outfit Baysix. The band
who formed in 1999 have built up a strong following through their
powerful live shows. Their hard work has paid off as they recently
signed to small record label Copro Records.
Their
debut album 'Death by Misadventure' is released on March 22nd and
they head out on a tour of Germany shortly after their Parson's
Nose gig.
Support
comes from young Westbury emo punkers 4 Hour Drive. The band's music
has been described as a
"balls out thrash-fest, with an energetic melodic punk rock
twist".
Recent
gigs have included a support slot with UK punk legends Stiff Little
Fingers.
Baysix
and 4 Hour Drive play The Parson's Nose, High Street in Melksham
on Thursday 25th March. The gig starts at 9.45pm and admission is
free.
