The
"magnetic, electrifying and utterly beautiful."
Pandora 88 is on its way to the Arc Theatre, Trowbridge next month.
Pandora 88 is a two man show, which rests in the expert hands (or
bodies) of Wolfgang Hoffman and Sven Till and centres
on a world within a perspex box. A tiny box, 1.5 metres square,
with the two men literally plonked inside and left to get on with
it.
It's an extraordinarily inventive piece of theatre, that uses Brian
Keenan's unsettling biography of his incarceration at the hands
of Beirut terrorists as its launching point.
Despite being an unlikely launching point, with one of Europe’s
leading companies Fabrik at the helm, it has already received rave
reviews.

| Wolfgang
Hoffman and Sven Till in Pandora 88 |
Trapped
in a world, the size of a small lift, the tetchy duo are forced
to co-exist the best they can.
Restricted and on top of each other, literally, they begin to feel
out the spatial limits of their prison and with grim humour the
limits of themselves.
As they climb the walls, the roof and each other little is said
but all is revealed with an intense, claustrophobic clarity.
Through fury, despair, playfulness, aggression, listlessness, hallucination
and bouts of insanity the two begin to find ways to come to terms
with their confinement and the unnatural intimacy forced upon them.
Part dance, part theatre and with an incredible lighting design
thrown in Pandora 88 promises a hauntingly memorable and stunningly
beautiful performance.
Definitely worth a look...
