Joseph
and the Technicolour Dreamcoat is enjoying a successful Easter holiday
run at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon until Saturday 10th April.
However,
if you catch the show before it ends, you will see a different actor
playing the title role than the one you were expecting. Original
Joseph, Andrew Derbyshire, dislocated his knee so actor-singer Mike
Holoway stepped in at the eleventh hour.
Mike
has played Joseph in various productions of the show over the years.
He is a stage musical veteran having appeared in Grease and Pirates
of Penzance during his career.
He
was also one of the faces of the seventies. Mike played drums
and sang in teen heartthrob band Flintlock who also had their own
TV series.
Cult
TV fans will remember him well for his long-running role in ITV's
The Tomorrow People. The
series which ran between 1973-79 told the story of a group of teenagers
with telepathic abilities who fought aliens and lived in a spaceship
buried underground.
BBC
Wiltshire chatted to Mike about his varied career which you can
