As Jongleurs prepares to celebrate its 21st birthday the comedy club's best comedians are hitting the road with a stop off in Salisbury.

For over 20 years Jongleurs has been the kicking off point for many of the country's comedic demi-gods from Paul Merton, Harry Enfield, Rory Bremner, Graham Norton and Jo Brand to Ainsley Harriott - no, not in the kitchen - instead he was improvising songs as one half of The Calypso Twins.

Gina Yashere

But on Thursday, January 22nd the comedy circuit's freshest stand-ups will be heading to the Salisbury City Hall for the Jongleurs Comedy Club on the Road.

Among the line up is a fringe regular Andy Parsons who not only bagged last years Time Out award for Outstanding Achievement but is up there as one of London's most talented and experienced comedians. With the bullet-headed Londoner being an ex-Spitting Image writer expect some topical shtick.

Joining him on the mike is Gina Yashere, one of Britain's best known black female comics, who recently walked away with the Best Female Stand-Up vote at the Black International Comedy Awards. Not only has she fronted over 20 editions of Up Late with Gina Yashere, Planet Pop but also writes for The Richard Blackwood Show.

Jeff Innocent
Jeff Innocent

Making up the hat trick is the larger-than-life cockney Jeff Innocent. Jeff digs deep into his East End upbringing offering up everything from bouncers, fashion and pub fighting etiquette to the Poundshop phenomenon. Behind his hard man exterior we're promised a surprisingly charming intellectual.

With two hours of top stand up and with a special guest, yet to be revealed, tossed in it all looks set to be as they say "one fantastic bumper night of laughs."

Enjoy....
