Actress Linda Thorson who played Tara King in The Avengers between 1968-69 visited the store on Thursday 19th February.

Canadian-born Linda took over from Diana Rigg as sidekick to Patrick Macnee's bowler-hatted secret agent John Steed in the cult show.

Although the series ended over 30 years ago, it is still repeated all over the world and boasts a large fanbase.

Linda went on to great success in the theatre and also made numerous television appearances over the years.

Another genre role came along in 1993 when she played the Cardassian Gul Ocett in the Star Trek:TNG episode 'The Chase'.

Linda took time out from the signing to chat to BBC Wiltshire about her time in The Avengers.
