Actor Chris Barrie is most well-known for playing the neurotic hologram Arnold Rimmer in cult BBC2 sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf and for his portrayal of the insufferable leisure centre manager Gordon Brittas in The Brittas Empire.

Recently, he has added some big screen credits to his name after appearing alongside Angelina Jolie as Hilary the butler in both Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movies.

The latest string to his bow is as presenter of Chris Barrie's Massive Engines for The Discovery Channel. In the show, self-confessed car fanatic Chris explores the development of trains, diggers, airships and other industrial wonders.

Chris recently spoke to BBC Radio Wiltshire's Shelley Keen about combining his love of vehicles with TV presenting, the vicarious thrills of working with one of the most beautiful women in the movies and why his comedy characters are so annoying, yet strangely endearing at the same time.
