It's Coolio in the house...
Coolio Next month, in Club Ice's Main Room, the Grammy Award winning US rapper Coolio with the gravity-defying dreads will be serving up a blast of smoothly danceable hip-hop.

On Friday June 4th Coolio, the Grammy Award winning US rapper with the gravity-defying dreads, will be serving up a blast of smoothly danceable hip-hop at Club Ice.

Coolio one of the most successful rappers worldwide has, to date, sold over 18 million records globally and racked up tour dates in Africa, Israel, Russia, Brazil, Australia, Turkey and throughout Europe.

Hailing from Compton, California, Coolio first took the music world by storm in 1994 with the irresistibly friendly utopian party anthem 'Fantastic Voyage' which was nominated for a Grammy Award among things.

As the gangsta-dominated West Coast sound and hardcore G-funk hit its peak Coolio continued to serve up his mix of hip-hop party grooves and gritty, street-level subject matter.

The following year he scored another
staggeringly massive hit with the moody, string-driven 'Gangsta's Paradise'.

'Gangsta's Paradise' with its ghetto life lyrics and high-profile samples from old-school hip-hop became Coolio's signature song. It was not only the most successful rap single of 1995 but the first ghetto-centric rap song to hit number one in the U.K.

With his third album, West Coast sound, dropped two years later Coolio
laid the groundwork for an explosion of hardcore-themed pop-rap and mainstream hip-hop.

Now on his way to Club Ice, next month, with his distinctive style, bouncin’ beats and thought-provoking lyrics expect some exuberant, good-time party anthems
with a nod, just a nod, at hardcore.
