The exhibition will run from Saturday, August 7 to Saturday,
August 28.
All the work on display in the exhibition will
be on sale to the public.
Work being submitted for entry into the exhibition should
be taken to Salisbury Library and Galleries, Market Place,
Salisbury, between 9am and 5pm from Wednesday, July 21 to
Friday, July 23. A handling and entry fee of £15 will
be charged.
Application forms will be available from all Wiltshire libraries
from Friday, June 25.
The library and galleries are run by Wiltshire County Council.
|
The
exhibition aims to fill the library and galleries with Wiltshire
art and celebrate the rich diversity of artistic talent in the county.
Artists
in the county are being invited to submit up to three works each
to enter in the exhibition. Submitted works will be judged on merit
by a panel of experts for inclusion in the exhibition.
Peter
Riley, art curator and gallery manager, said: "I decided to
run this exhibition to help raise the profile of Wiltshire artists
and art in general in the county.
"Wiltshire
has a wonderfully diverse artistic community and this will be a
very exciting and vibrant exhibition reflecting the strength of
artistic talent in the county.
"If
this year's exhibition proves to be as successful as I believe it
can be, this could become an annual highlight in the calendar for
artists in Wiltshire.
