Jenny Hyde, the Red Arrows were for another function, at the house I think, and nothing to do with Womad.

Jerry & Henry S
Just superb, massive thanks to all who organised it. Still getting a buzz looking at the pictures in dark November. If you were not there you missed something really special.

Lucie C
Was it only me that thought Shane McGowan was well past his best in 1984 when i saw him then. Poor poor drunken performance. Shame, in the middle of a wonderful weekend.

eleventh year attending WOMAD had a geat time, went with my three children, Was not as many stalls as usual heard the rent was to high for some, would have liked to see the same amount as usual. Also no sellers along the pathways as in other years we enjoyed walking and looking. other wise a fantastic time had.

Well done WOMAD, I got the WOMAD feeling back again it was perfect, wonderful music, people and sunshine and for all the team working behind the scene..it was amazing.

Moira & Mark from Huddersfield
First Womand, and definitely not the last. Highlights have to be: Little Axe, Sharron Shannon, Rachid Taha, TGU, Gocoo, Chic, Kora,(with Red Arrow backing, wow!!!!), taking part in the singing workshop in the dappled arobretum on Sunday morning and of course the huge variety of gorgous food and the brilliant sunshine. It's impossible to describe the experience, it is truly like being in another world for 3 days! We loved it. Thanks to everyone who was involved in making it happen, you're all stars.

mel
i would have hated a firework display, think they should be banned anyway.loved the red arrows i expect they were on their way to something else anyway.

Jo

mary (red dress picture 15)
We had a wonderful time. the site is the natural home for WOMAD with so much space to relax in and little shady areas. I took the bus into Malmesbury which is such a lovely place and the locals were really friendly. Everybody had worked very hard to make it one of the best WOMADs ever, and I've been to 23 so I know what I'm talking about!

Jenny Hyde
Fantastic! My best over six years. Everything perfect, well put together, pukka loos, great programme, trees etc. BUT.... why the red arrows? Far more people were 'offended' than impressed. Utterly irrelevant, inappropriate, and environmentally inexcusable. My only complaint. A firework display would have been infinitely better received. For all else, thank you.xx
