Find out who is on. The Pewsey Music Festival is back in 2008 for a second bow, and the event this year is hoped to build on the success of 2007. For festival is designed to showcase local talent and feature a random international act. Last year the Festival was wowed by the impressive New Jersey soul-funk six-piece Big Baby Ernie and headliners The Convulsions. They were ably supported on the day by some of Wiltshire's finest musical acts – Nick Harper, Jon Amor, Hitchmo and Big Num. The event this year is once again to be held in the Pewsey Vale behind the historic Cooper’s Arms, with Pewsey’s White Horse providing the backdrop. Signed to appear onstage this time round so far are Latvian indie poppers Detlef Zoo and Irish folk rockers The Prelude. ![]() The Mentalists Local musical talent on the bill this year comes in the form of Swindon girl group The Mentalists, Yeovil art-rockers The Operation and Wiltshire tribute band Who's Next? Between now and August it is hoped numerous other international acts will be signed to appear on the day. It is a charity event which supports The Richmond Fellowship Wiltshire Outreach, The Bruce Trust and Pewsey Carnival. The Pewsey Festival takes place on Saturday 16th August 2008 from 12.00pm-12.00am.
