Harry Potter stars visit Swindon

The magic of Harry Potter landed in Swindon on Thursday 17th of November when two of stars of the films visited the Infinitely Better memorabilia store in the Brunel Plaza. Listen to our interview and check out the gallery.


Actors Chris Rankin and Jamie Yeates who respectively played Percy Weasley and Marcus Flint in the Harry Potter films visited Swindon movie memorabilia store Infinitely Better on Thursday 17th November to meet fans and sign autographs.

The fourth movie in the series - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released to cinemas nationally the following day. The two actors were also in Swindon to turn on the town's Christmas lights.

Before their autograph signing session, they found time to chat to BBC Wiltshire's Kelly Stooke about working on the much loved movies.

It was made clear that Warwick's car broke down on the way to the event. He had to be towed all the way home before being able to come out again to the event, by the time he got home there was no point in him coming. Surely that's understandable? He did make the effort to come for the second day at the Faerie Shop in Marlborough the next day though. It's not his fault the car broke down! And hey - there were still two other actors from Harry Potter there - don't complain!
