Presenter Profiles

I think the boss of my last radio station gave me my on air break just to shut me up - it was either that or a restraining order - I basically pestered him until he let me on air and that was the start of my career in radio....

Before that I think I'd had a go at every job going: holiday rep, waitress, cleaner at Wimbledon's Centre Court, customer service agent at Natwest Bank, Project Worker at East Ayrshire Council and THE most exciting, testing 100,000 electric cables over five long, long days!

One day when I was trying to decide what I REALLY wanted to do with my life, I rang my local radio station to see if they had any jobs going and much to my delight (and surprise!!) I ended up as their Head of Commercial Production, writing and producing scripts for radio adverts and having a right old laugh voicing them in a little booth no bigger than a small coffin.

From there (and with constant persistence on my part) I was offered a Sunday night show called Late Night Love... and the rest as they say is history.

Since being at BBC Radio Swindon and BBC Radio Wiltshire I've had a blast.

From touring the Wiltshire countryside in the Radio Car, along with the Doorstep Dog, giving away radios as part of The Doorstep Challenge.

Co-hosting An Audience with Jamie Cullum, The West Wilts Show and concert with Javine.

To presenting many radio shows including Shelley Keen at the Weekend and The Early Show.

Its all great fun and a job I love, and thankfully not a hint of an electrical cable for years!
