The name Laurie Johnson may not be all that familiar, but you've certainly heard his work before. The composer's memorable TV themes include The Avengers, Jason King, Whickers World and This is Your Life. Film scores have included Dr Strangelove, Tiger Bay and It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet. Laurie is also a prolific producer and co-owner of Gainsborough Pictures, as well as Mark 1 Productions, the first independent British Television production company that produced The New Avengers and The Professionals. In February, Laurie's autobiography 'Noises in the Head' was published and the book tells the story of his amazing career and the many famous names he has met and worked with.
