Recycling Christmas

Well, it’s officially over, 12 days after Christmas and it’s time to take it all down… but before you reach for the bin bag read on…

If you've got a ‘real’ Christmas tree to get rid of why not recycle it.  You can drop it off at any of Wiltshire’s Household Recycling Centres (there are 10 across the county) and your tree can be composted and sold back to you either bagged up or in your own container.

Recycling Christmas trees around the county:

Kennet
Kennet District Council: 01380 734665

In Kennet there are over 50 neighbourhood recycling centres. Most take paper, magazines, glass, steel and aluminium cans and some take textiles.

From Tuesday 4th January to Monday 10th January there will be a fenced compound at George Lane car park in Marlborough where you can leave your Christmas tree for recycling. These will be taken away for shredding and composting.
