Grant Making

Grant applications for 2010 are now closed. If you are interested in finding out about future grant opportunities from the BBC Wildlife Fund then please sign up to our Newsletter.

This year the BBC Wildlife Fund (BBCWF) will be funding conservation action through an open application process. The BBC Wildlife Fund aims to disburse £1.2 million raised through public donations during the 2010 Wild Appeal.

The majority of grants will be in the range of £10,000 to £20,000 for work to be delivered over a 12 month period, however the BBCWF will also fund a small number of grants up to £60,000 to be delivered over a two year timescale.

Grants will be made to UK registered charities, broadly allocating 20% of donations to projects conserving wildlife in the UK and 80% of donations to projects outside the UK.

The application process is in two stages. The first stage was an expression of interest and we received a very large number of applications. We have now invited a number of these projects back to second stage.
