Why change location?
Selecting your home town personalises the homepage to make it more relevant to your location. Once you have entered either your postcode or your town, you will always see the following on the homepage:
  • A five-day and 24-hour weather forecast for your region
  • Links to local information
  • Entertainment listings for your area
Every time you visit, you'll be just one click away from a wealth of information about where you live.

Personalisation relies on cookies to remember your choice of town. If you can't get it to work properly, it's probably because your browser refuses to accept cookies. You can normally change this in your browser's options. You can also change your home town or remove your personal forecast by choosing the option underneath the five day forecast.

What is a cookie?
Cookies are small pieces of code received by your web browser. They pass information back to websites so the sites can 'remember' your passwords, preferences and viewing habits. They are very small, cannot spread viruses and don't use up much disk space. You're not damaging your PC or software by using a cookie - you're only enhancing your interaction with websites. If you are worried about this, you can use your browser to restrict or even cancel the use of cookies.
