Get started with social networks

Getting started on social networks jim hammersmith

To get started using social media you simply sign up for free to one of the social networking websites and create a profile for yourself.

Here you can enter basic details about yourself and your interests and you can add a photo too. Once you are signed up you can search for people you know and add them as friends.

Getting started on social networks searching for friends

You simply type in their name, click 'search' and when you find the right person you can send them a friend request, which they can either accept or decline.

Other people can also search for your social networking profile and send you a friend request. But don’t worry, if for any reason you don’t want to be added to their network, you can simply decline their request.
