When and how did you learn to use the internet?
I would definitely say trial and error. I taught myself really. I'm not very computer minded, but my husband is.
I like to keep things nice and simple. My husband showed me the basics, and then I was left to my own devices and just played with it really.
Did you find it easy?
No, I didn't find it easy to begin with. To be honest, I still probably go the long way around to get to things.
I always go to Google or Yahoo rather than type in www…whatever. I tend to use search engines to get where I need to go.
I bookmark pages I use the most. I have spent ages going through pages and pages of search results, which probably isn't the best way to go about things.
It's definitely time consuming, but I tend to do that when I'm watching TV, so I don't really notice much.
What would you say your main activities are online - reading the news? Picking up e-mail?
The main things I do online are using Sainsbury's and Ocado online.
I decided the internet was amazing when I realised I could order my food online.
It saves so much time!
My other main activity would be using email. I'm always on email; in fact I would say I use email now to communicate more than anything else.
I've got a Mac so I use a Mac email address.
Do you use the internet for any other kinds of shopping?
Yes I do. I think it's great for things like booking holidays and flights. I tend to go to the big ones, expedia, ryanair, easyjet, and opodo, which are all great.
If I've got the time, I'm quite happy to go through all the listings in a search engine to see what comes up, that's me being adventurous.
I always take my laptop when I travel around, and it always takes ages to be able to log on!
I find the internet is also great for picking up things that can be a bit tricky to find.
Just the other day I was looking for a judo belt for my son, and we found loads of options such as judo kit.com and ukmao.
I also found a great teapot the other day. I wanted a really large teapot and I found one at the good gift company.
We were looking for new garden furniture as well and found loads of great sites such as simply garden furniture, greenfingers.com and John Lewis.
The internet is great for checking maps, addresses and opening times - that kind of thing - when we're having a family day out to Thorpe Park, Chessington or somewhere like that.
Sometimes I go on the computer with the kids, and we play games on the Cbeebies site. I'm not great, but I have a little go!
What's your favourite site?
I wouldn't say any one particular. I'm a real searcher, and I'm one of those people who doesn't like to give up easily.
As I said, I always start with a search engine like Google. When I'm looking for holidays, I would say I always start at the Scott Dunn site, which is quite good.
I've booked quite a few holidays through them as well, so I always recommend the site to my friends.
Even if you don't book a holiday with them, it's a great site to visit to get ideas.
What else have you been up to?
Training for Only fools on Horses. It's been great, very nerve-wracking and a bit scary at times.
Training has been really intense, it's one of those things where you're not quire sure what you're letting yourself in for when you sign up.
We've all fallen off - a few people have had to pull out with broken arms etc.
It's been amazing learning something new.
Before the show I had only ridden a horse about half a dozen times. I knew nothing about going over jumps.
The big question is whether I'll keep it up after the show.
I've also been involved in giving motivational speeches, telling people how I motivated myself.
I'm also involved in 2012 and the build up to it.
When I get the time I also try to support, The Alex children's hospital in Brighton and their charity the Rocking Horse Appeal.
How did you get involved in Sports Aid?
I was lucky to be chosen to go down to Africa to see where the money is being spent. When I was there is saw some horrific sights.
I think seeing little kids dying of Aids and families being wiped out brought it home - how desperate it is to get the money down there. I really just wanted to do something about it.
