When and how did you learn to use the internet?
Well really it was a means to an end, I had to take the plunge and just do it! I only really started getting into the internet about two years ago.
The thing that really pushed me to start learning about it was my friend's children, who send each other e-mails before they go to school in the morning, and I felt a bit left out as I didn't know how to do it. So I taught myself.
Why did it take you so long to get webwise?
To be honest my life has been so hectic and I have never really had the chance to sit down and learn. My record company and management, ran my life basically for ten years and so I had people to do e-mailing etc for me.
Now I've had a chance to pursue my interest in other things and learning about the internet is one of them, it's the future isn't.
What would you say is your main activity online?
I would say mainly for e-mailing people for business, oh and for keeping in touch with my friends.
It's great because before I started using e-mail I used to text everyone so it's much cheaper, it's great now I just log on to my Yahoo account.
Do you use the internet for shopping or booking holidays etc?
Well I have to confess to taking a sneaky look on eBay from time to time. I haven't got around to selling anything on there as yet, but I've definitely bought a thing or two.
It's terrible because you can end up buying loads of things that you don't need.
I have a myspace page, which I think is pretty cool. I created my myspace page especially for my friends, because there are lots of people out there pretending to be me.
I'm also not on there as Ian Watkins, I've got a pseudonym. I'm on Facebook as well, the only trouble is I keep getting e-mails from people that I don't even know! I have to say it is a bit addictive.
It's great though, because my job tends to mean I'm working anti-social hours, so I generally miss out on things, whereas with Facebook I get to see what I'm missing out on.
Which site would you say you visited the most?
Oh I would have to say Google. Anything just anything you want to know, all you have to do is type it in and bingo!
If you had a friend logging on for the first time which site would you recommend?
Ooh, can I recommend two? eBay for shopping and Facebook because it's brilliant!
What do you think about looking for love online?
It's not something I've tried but I know it works for loads of people and I really think people should be open minded about these things.
I was out with a friend recently and he told me that he had met his partner online and they had been together for five years, which is amazing.
How much input did you have into your own website?
It's really cool isn't it! Well it was actually started by a fan, years and years ago. She was doing such as great job that I officially gave her the link to my life, so to speak.
So my input with the site is daily really as I e-mail her everyday to tell her what's going on, news etc. I also leave messages online as well.
So tell us what you're up to at the moment?
I'm currently starring in the musical Fame the musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre which is great.
I do have to say though that the stage production is completely different from the film and the television series.
The basics are still the school, the issues and the leg warmers.
My role is Nick and I'm a bit like the Bruno character.
I love the live aspect of being on stage, I find television a bit cold.
How about your singing career is that on hold now?
Well I'm very lucky, because I fell into to being a pop tart, but it was never really what I wanted to do. So for me now performing on stage, this is me following my dream.
How are you finding life post Big Brother?
I have to say the time in the BB house was pretty full on, but if I'm honest it didn't affect me personally, because I was sensible, kept my gob shut and was a decent human being.
The people who were affected got their comeuppance and they deserved it.
There's no doubt about it, that shows like Big Brother are career enhancing shows, but the main reason I did it is so that everyone knew that my name is Ian, and not 'H', I really wanted to move away from the H from Steps thing.
