How did you learn about the internet?

(Laughs out loud) I probably first started using the internet when I was about six, no seriously when I about eight, maybe. Actually I was about 12.

As far as I can remember we've always had the internet at home. I also had some very techie friends who kind of showed me the way, which was cool.

Did you find it easy?

Absolutely, I loved it. Maths was a big subject for me so the whole computer world was really fascinating, so I spent all my time on the computer.

I was definitely a bit of a computer geek, and I'm not ashamed to say I'll remain one!

The thing I love most about the internet is that it's very pick and mix, it's there if you want it, not there if you don't.

It fits into your lifestyle you don't have to build your lifestyle around it.

What are your main activities online?

My main activity when I'm online is picking up my e-mails, I use Hotmail.

I also play lots of computer games, so I use the internet to get walk throughs, which are really helpful. It saves you having to go to the shops to get a book.

Walk throughs are tips services and cheats. Lots of people give you titbits on how to get to another level in your game, or how to kill this monster. Gamespot aren't bad for starters.

Do you ever use the internet for shopping?

No, not really. I'm a bit cautious about my computer's security.

Of course once I've started I'll probably do all my shopping online. Also I'm quite impatient, and it just annoys me to have to wait so long. I'm more of a hands on shopper, I like to take things home in my hands.

Which sites do you visit regularly?

Well, Google is genius.

I hit Google every second time I'm on the internet. When I designed my album cover, I mocked it up from images that I found online through Google.

Cool Homepages.com is pretty useful when you're designing web pages.

I can't say I'm very loyal to any one particular site; part of the buzz for me using the internet is exploring and finding new sites, mostly by accident.

Download.com and tucows, they're both great for downloading programs.

Apple is great for watching movie trailers, I do that a lot.

Do you ever use the internet for your work as a musician?

Well I wouldn't say I use it a great deal where my music is concerned, but it can be useful if you're away from home and you haven't got your own computer.

In a situation like this I've used the internet to get samples to quickly knock up something to use as an example for a new producer.

It can be useful for finding weird or unusual sounds, like tabla and other crazy instruments. Making Waves Audio is a great place to start, I made both my albums using this site.

How involved are you in the redesign of your website?

Oh it's a bit of a secret. Well actually not that much of a secret! Let's just say at the moment I'm on the edges of the process, but the next six months or so I will be about 60% involved.

If you had a friend logging on for the first time, which site would you suggest they visit?

Google is the bomb! But if I was pushed I could say MSN is also a good portal. Oh and the BBC is a great site for news.

What's your favourite website?

QuickTime.com is pretty good, you can watch lots of movies that are about to be released in America, sometimes up to six months in advance.

You created your first album in your bedroom, what advice would you give to people who want to follow in your footsteps?

Definitely log on to Making Waves Audio, it has a genius programme. You should visit bigfishaudio for sample CDs. If you want to get really serious you have to invest in an Apple Mac computer, it's the best for running the necessary software.

There seems to be a Bedingfield takeover at the moment, tell me more!

It must seem like that, but I don't think Nikola will be making a bid for the charts because her stuff is more about real music. I doubt she'll be pop like us [Daniel and Natasha].

Of course I'm thrilled about Natasha breaking through. I knew she would, she deserves it. There has been talk of me and Natasha doing a duet together. We haven't ruled it out, but we're both loving having separate careers right now.

What can we expect from you in the future?

Well in the next six months I'm going to be off to New Zealand. Then I'm going to do a massive tour of England and Europe

Have you ever taken part in a web chat before?

Yes and it was terrifying! You get asked all kind of questions, quite a few of them are quite stupid, and you have to choose which ones you're going to answer in a very short space of time.

In a normal interview you can take a break, but having a web chat is pretty full on.

My question for Bruce is...
