In India over the last 10 days a massive 128 people have died from the sweltering heat which has swept the country.
Temperatures in the coastal Andhra Pradesh state have risen to an average of 45C (113F) during the first part of May, even touching an incredible 49.8C (122F) in some places.
Over the last few weeks in Pakistan temperatures have been around 7-10C above the May average in some northern areas, such as Southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. The mercury hit a scorching high of 43C (109F) on Thursday in the Punjab capital.
