Possible white Easter for New Yorkers, while Britons head for the parks by Sean Batty

Temperatures across the eastern half of the U.S. are set to drop over the coming days and even some snowfall expected in certain areas. The NWS has warned of possible snowfalls for New York on Saturday and Sunday. So New Yorkers could be waking up to a white Easter.

Here in the UK, however, the weather is likely to be very different with temperatures rising into the high teens for many. Around the coasts though, particularly in the east, it will feel cooler with onshore breezes and a bit more cloud at times. Temperatures during the Easter weekend could reach as high as 20-21C (68-70F) in the southeast of England, while in Scotland temperatures could peak at 17C (63F) in sheltered areas.

So it looks like many will be digging out their woolly hats in the U.S. while people in the UK can look forward to donning their Easter bonnets.
