This tiny country is situated on the west coast of Africa on 13°N. It is entirely surrounded by Senegal and extends in a narrow strip inland on either side of the Gambia river. It is about the same size as the county of Yorkshire or the state of Connecticut. It has climate and weather similar to that of central Senegal. The table for Banjul is representative of the whole country and shows conditions very similar to those in the table for Dakar. | |||||
