Weather Statistics - November 1998

November was a mostly changeable month with rain at times especially in the west. It was mild at first but there was a colder spell later with fog and frost.

Rainfall 80mm 90% of average
Temperature 6.2C 0.44C below average
Sunshine 2.67 hrs per day 123% of average

This has been the wettest November since 1970. and the wettest Autumn period (September, October, November) since 1766.

(please note, the average figures are taken from the period 1961-1990)
