Weather Statistics - March 1998

As a whole March was a very wet and mild month. The first week was unsettled, with parts of north and mid wales received more than 3 inches of rain in 24 hours around the 2nd and 6th. The middle two weeks were mainly dry with some night frosts. However, the end of the month was very mild.

Temperature 8.0C 2.3C above average
Sunshine 2.44 hrs per day 69% of average

This has been the wettest March since 1994.
