Weather Statistics - March 2000

March 2000 was a very dry month, rather sunny and mild overall especially in South East England and East Anglia. Exceptionally mild in the second week, with some overnight frost in the first and third weeks. It became unsettled later in the month with some rain or showers and the end of the month was rather cold.

Temperature 7.3C 1.6C above average
Sunshine 4.00 hrs per day (mean total 120 hrs) 114% of the average

This has been the 7th consecutive with above average sunshine, and the 9th in succession to be warmer that normal.
