Weather Statistics - July 2000

July 2000 was a mostly cool and often cloudy month, especially in the east. It was sunnier and warmer in the west. Thunderstorms caused local flooding in Surrey and Sussex in the first week. It was sunny and very warm in the third week, but more unsettled with some thunder in the last week.

Temperature 15.6C 0.5C below average of 16.1C
Sunshine 5.33 hrs per day (mean total 69 hrs) 90% of the average

This has been the dullest July since 1992 and the wettest since 1993.
